AQUARIUS

Coin collectors became hugely interested not just in the silver coins, but also in the golden 'Zodiac Signs' coins.

Obverse: in the central part there is the emblem of the Republic of Armenia. Above the emblem there is the mintage year of the coin and below the face value of the coin, 100 dram in the Armenian language. The emblem is surrounded with twelve symbols which illustrate each of the Zodiac Signs. On the rim, in the upper part of the coin there is a semicircular inscription 'The Republic of Armenia' in Armenian, and at the bottom the name of the issuer in English.

Reverse: in the foreground there is the image of Aquarius, below there is a dab of pale blue and green which imitates afterglow. In the background of Aquarius there is its Zodiac constellation - one of the twelve constellations through which the ecliptic runs; on the right hand side there is a graphic symbol of the Sign. On the rim of the coin there is an inscription 'Aquarius' in English and in Russian.

There are two ruling planets for Aquarius: Uranus - the planet of freedom and Saturn - the planet of discipline and structure. People born under this sign are honest, sincere, independent and have a strong sense of justice. The influence of Uranus makes Aquarius chase for the avant-garde and freedom in the broad sense of the word. His friendly attitude to the world wins him many friends, who appreciate him particularly for his sensitivity and emotionality.
